It was less than a month ago that we went, but it already feels much longer. Our honeymoon was awesome. The landscape was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I feel like I was never really able to capture the beautiful colors of the water in my pictures. We did much eating, drinking, and relaxing. We flew to LA on Friday, December 3rd and spent the night there in order to catch our flight to Tahiti in the morning. Since we had some time to kill in LA we went to Manhattan Beach for drinks and dinner. The fog had rolled in over the ocean and gave it an eerie feeling.
We grabbed delicious cupcakes on our way back to the hotel.
In the morning we were off! The direct flight from LA to Papeete, Tahiti was about 9 hours. It wasn't nearly as bad as we thought.
We had our first taste of Hinano, the local brew.
We landed in the dark so we didn't get to see our surroundings until the morning. Pretty, but not the paradise we were expecting.
We were only in Papeete for about 12 hours before flying to the island of Moorea. We snuck in a quick trip to the local market before heading back to the airport.
A short 7 minute flight and we were in Moorea - and THIS is what we had been waiting for!
Awesome.
Outside our over water bungalow.
Standing on the see-through floor in our bungalow.
We snorkeled and saw some beautiful fish.
Headed off the resort for a delicious dinner one night.
And just enjoyed the scenery.
We spent 3 nights there before taking off to Bora Bora...(to be continued)
